Community sessions are conducted in order to raise awareness and promote participation among its youth and youth partners. With unified efforts from schools and from communities, appreciation for our natural resources is reinforced, establishing more sustainable programs.
- Clean-up Activities: WWF conducts coastal clean-ups and street/neighbourhood clean-ups as well. Apart from having cleaner surroundings, this activity allows participants to gain better understanding of their communities' waste generation and waste composition patterns, as well as their waste management practices.
- Mangrove Planting: Like coral reefs, mangrove forests are extremely productive ecosystems that provide numerous goods and services both to the marine environment and people. Conducting mangrove planting activities is also one way to help communities adapt to the impacts of climate change.
- Youth Camps: WWF believes that environmental education is learning about the environment, learning for the environment and learning in the environment as well. Youth camps encourage meaningful interactions with the surroundings and relevant place-based learning sessions.
- Turo Sessions: Learning sessions with members of the community regarding environmental issues relevant to them, such as ecotourism to the Butanding Information Officers of Donsol, as well as container farming for far-flung communities across the country.
